The Athens Teen Ministry is a group 9-12th graders who come together to experience the love of God and his church. Our goal is to help teens thrive in all areas of their lives, whether with friends, in school or in their relationship with God. We want to help them secure healthy friendships, work to create safe spaces where teenagers can be themselves and build a network of diverse friendships.

Eliza Hembree
Eliza has been a disciple of Jesus since October 23rd, 2019. She grew up in Athens and graduated from UGA in 2021. She has worked with youth for over 10 years through combined service in children’s ministry at multiple churches and professional work as a Summer Camp Counselor, YMCA afterschool Counselor and as a Family Support Specialist. She has been serving the Athens teen ministry since August of 2022.
