God has made a great many promises. They are all “Yes” because of what Christ has done. So through Christ we say “Amen.” We want God to receive glory.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIRV)

God is the best parent ever! Like all parents, He loves saying “yes” to us as His children. But we all know that it’s not always best to say yes to our children for everything they ask for. I remember when one of my children was young, he would ask for something in almost every aisle of the grocery store. I didn’t want to say no to everything, but I knew I couldn’t say yes to everything either! So, we made a deal: He got a “yes” to two items in the grocery store. He got to choose what those two items were. If he saw something in a later aisle that he wanted more, he could take an item back. That was a game-changer for us. I was saying yes, and he got to choose! Definitely a win-win! There was a limit, but I wasn’t constantly saying no to him and feeling like I was being a mean mom. I was reminded of this agreement that I had with my son when I listened to this short video on Instagram. Here is some great advice from a young mom:
