Prayer Requests
 Alberta Patat
 had knee surgery at Athens Piedmont on Monday. She came through the surgery fine. Prior to the surgery, the doctors expressed concern that her body may not have the strength to recover from the surgery. Please pray for her and for Leonard.

Kellie Baxter is home and resting. She is doing much better. If you would like to send a card or note, please mail to the following address: 120 Wyndfield Place, Athens, GA 30605. Please pray for Mrs. Nell Sims’ continuous recovery from flu and pneumonia and for her daughter, Barbara Sims, as she remains her sole caretaker. Cards of encouragement can be sent to them at: 249 Imperial Way, Bogart, GA 30622.

Please pray for Betty Snodgrass, Dana Chacon’s mom. She fell last week and broke her T11 vertebrae. She is in a lot of pain.  She will be in a back brace for at least 3 months. She was moved into the nursing facility in the complex where she lives for rehab. Cards of encouragement can be sent to Betty at: 1001 Carpenters Way, Apt B-404, Lakeland, FL 33809.

Recent Loss
Please continue to pray for Kristine Garcia . Her mom, Flerida Arias, passed away in the Philippines recently. Cards of encouragement can be sent to Kristine at 1230 Travis Drive, Watkinsville, GA 30677.

We are grateful and praise God for His healing hand on those we have been praying for:
Elsie Mize, Erika Heinzle, Mollie Mostert, Tammy Pope, 
and Corrie McClary are all doing better and making progress.


 Our second week to host this year for Family Promise of Athens is coming up next week.  We have two simple needs.  We’re looking for volunteers to provide dinner for the two families described below for either next Wednesday, May 1 or Thursday, May 2. Note: The meals should be delivered to the address provided below (NOT Milledge Avenue Baptist Church as usual). Drop off the meals around 6:00 PM.

Family one is in unit #158 Magnolia Terrace, Athens, GA 30606
Mother goes by Nicole. She works Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm at UGA; Has a 15 year old son.
Mom is allergic to ALL nuts; They both like chicken, wings, hamburgers with toppings, hotdogs, chicken strips, pizza and any fast food restaurants. 
 
Family two is in the unit next door in the same duplex.
Mother’s name is Krystal. She has three children ages 8, 9, and 11.
They have no food allergies.

If the families are not there, place the food in the cooler next to the front doors. 

Also,  if you want to help next Saturday, May 4 (from about 1-5 PM) at the Day Center at First Baptist Athens with two school-aged children, contact Steve Gibson @ (706) 351-3092.
