Prayer Request

Carol Pirie’s daughter-in-law Trista LaPrade is expecting.This is Joel’s wife. She went to the hospital on Wednesday night with some bleeding. She was sent home. She went back to the hospital today and is home now. Both baby and mom are okay but she asked that we pray that the baby will be healthy, go full term (due date is August 27), and that she won’t have to have a C section. Your prayers are appreciated. Carol will be there for at least the next couple months. Cards of encouragement may be sent to Trista at 29 N. Meadow Run, Hendersonville, NC 28792. And let’s encourage Carol too!

Spring Equinox 2020: The Earliest First Day of Spring in 124 Years

The first day of spring is Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 11:50 p.m. EDT for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, which is marked by the arrival of the Vernal (Spring) Equinox.

If this seems early to you, you’re right! In fact, this is the earliest the Vernal (Spring) Equinox has occurred in 124 years.
