Perry and Katherine Hearn are in Chisinau Moldova with the RevivEE 2.0 Team there. They will return on July 12th.
Michael Hearn has spent two years serving with the RevivEE 2.0 Team. He will be moving to Boston and looking for a job in his field of study.

Jody Lowe’s step daughter Teri died on June 8th. Prayers are needed especially for Teri’s father Denny Lowe who also lost his son Ken just 3 months ago. The Athens Church of Christ is offering a singing and acting class held every 2nd Sunday of each month from 10:30am-12:00 pm (during service). This class is taught by Lee Sugarman, Seyoung Holte and Rebecca Mapes and is for ages 5-14 (PreK-Middle School). The class is also open to children in our community. If your child is interested, please let us know via email or text 706-713-6727, so we can accommodate each child.

Family Promise Volunteer Appreciation Event

Hello Volunteer Coordinators!

We are so excited to announce that our next Volunteer Coordinator Bi-Monthly meeting will actually be replaced with an in-person volunteer appreciation BBQ on Thursday, July 21st at 5:30. This is an open invitation for all of you and the members of your congregations that volunteer with us to come and celebrate all of the hard work that we have put into FPA over the past year. The event will include a meal together and a short presentation on FPA’s work and future.

The event will be held in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church (355 Pulaski Street). Please invite clergy, congregants who have been volunteers with FPA in the past, and also members who might be interested in volunteering in the future. We are hoping that this event will also serve the purpose of recruiting new volunteers and bringing new life and invigoration to our work.

FOSTER A DOG: Shari McDonald’s son, Brock Shiffer, is relocating from Chicago and will be living in temporary quarters until he buys a house. He needs somebody to foster his white bulldog, Kirby, for a couple of months and he will provide everything needed for the dog. Kirby is three years old, not fixed, and is friendly and very loving.
