Pat Snow has been dealing with serious health issues for a couple years and received a cancer diagnosis on Friday. She will get more information in a couple weeks. Please pray for her, her family, and for miraculous healing. We love her dearly. Cards may be sent to 1260 Nona Drive, Athens, GA 30606.

Mark Wadsworth’s nephew was killed recently in a motorcycle accident. Mark and Angie are in Southern California for the funeral. Please be praying for the family. Cards of sympathy may be sent to 1583 Dee Kennedy Road, Hoschton, GA 30548.

Update on Ken Lauderdale from Linda Lauderdale:
Thank you to our brothers and sisters for the prayers, cards, and well wishes! Ken is feeling well but we are not there yet. Seems he still has not healed internally and we are awaiting a surgical date in November. Please pray for a successful surgery and complete healing! We miss seeing you! Love, Linda

2021 Fall Festival Vision from Lacy Armstrong

FALL FESTIVAL IS THIS SUNDAY!

OCTOBER 24TH AT 10:30 AM

EVERYONE IS INVITED!

We wanted to invite you to the Athens Church of Christ Fall Festival on Sunday October 24th! While the Fall Festival is sponsored by the Children’s Ministry, we want to invite everyone to come join in the fun and fellowship! We have been studying Ephesians as a church and are excited for this opportunity to spend time together as a family. Church will be a little different…we will have a short devotional and share in communion outside and then spend time together playing games, eating, and bonding. We will have games for people of all ages from relay races to corn hole to football toss.

How can you help?
You can volunteer to help us run a carnival game, serve food, set up or break down. We have purchased the items needed for the games and the prizes and just need your help manning the event during the fall festival.

Donate a cake for the cake walk! Store bought cakes are welcome. There also will be a contest for those who wish to enter their home decorated cake!

Carnival games: We have several carnival games already–and ideas for others. If individual families or family groups would like to run a game, we would love to meet with them. We have money in the budget to purchase supplies if needed.

Craig and Heeyoung Rugh are facilitating NAMI Family Support Group on the first Friday of each month. The next meeting will be November 5^th (Friday) from 6:30-8:00 pm.
NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. You can get gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences. This is a virtual meeting and will switch to in person meeting soon.
