SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6TH
INDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE!
This Sunday we will meet inside the building at 11 am. Masks required and social distancing. This service will be live streamed for those unable to meet in person.
This holiday season, we are approaching our The Giving Tree program slightly differently in order to meet the various needs within our church family due to the pandemic. As with each year of this program, we have seen an overwhelming response from our church membership to meet the needs identified by this program and expect this year to be another amazing year of generosity.
The goal of our Giving Tree program is to assist any member or member family who may need additional help providing Christmas gifts to their children. If you or a family you know of that could use some additional support for the holidays, please contact us by email at email@example.com or text us at 706-202-1833 with their name and support details so that we can encourage and share the joy of this holiday season with that family.
How can you help and participate?
Please consider making a gift donation at church on Sunday, December 6th or Sunday, December 13th. This year we will not have a tree in the courtyard with tags but rather collecting monies to buy gift cards. Therefore, we will have a table set up on the Sundays noted above to take donations or gift cards. We are also providing additional methods to gather donations for The Giving Tree:
· Venmo: Athens Church of Christ (@AthensChurchof-Christ). Note, there is no transaction fee but please add “The Giving Tree” in comment line.
· Giving tab on the website (athenscoc.com) under “Giving Tree.” Note, there is a transaction fee but please consider including the transaction fee with your gift donation.
· Mail a check by December 7th. Make checks out to the church and please add “The Giving Tree” to the memo section. Mail checks to: ACOC, 3720 Mars Hill Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
· Buy a gift card: Amazon, VISA, Walmart, Target, Old Navy, Marshall’s, and TJ Maxx
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Thank you for your consideration and participation in this holiday program.
