Prayer Requests and Updates

Freda Sims is needing prayers for a recent diagnosis – DVT of her right leg. She’s to attend a couple appointments before surgery in February. Cards may be sent to her at 665 Maple Forge Drive, Athens, GA 30606.

Update on Carroll family
Denise Carroll tested Covid positive along with Amy and now Derek is sick too. 

Update on Bill Mapes from Rebecca Mapes
Bill had a successful surgery yesterday and we are so grateful. He is already getting feeling back in his hands and was able to take a short walk in the hallway. We are especially grateful for the Elders coming over to pray over Bill before surgery.

Update on Alexa Pursell from Cindy Pursell
Alexa had a positive Covid test so they are making her wait 21 days for her surgery. She was very disappointed.

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

The leadership of the Athens Church of Christ wants you to know that we love you and are praying for each one of you! We pray that God will bring us all closer to him and that this time of fasting together will result in greater spirituality and unity for our church family.

As many of you probably already know, local weather forecasts are calling for the likelihood of severe weather this Sunday morning (freezing rain, sleet, snow). At this time, we are still planning on meeting for church Sunday morning at 1030am. However, we are monitoring the weather reports and will make a final decision regarding whether or not to have service by no later than 12p tomorrow (Sat Jan 15).
