Prayer Request

Marcia Redd’s brother William is being discharged from the hospital. There’s nothing else they can do medically. They will go home to discuss options such as palliative care. Please pray as they consider the different options and of course for miracles. They have four children and two who are still at home so this is a very difficult time. Marcia is very grateful for your prayers.

ACOC Host Week for Family Promise

 
Starting Sunday evening 9/26 through late afternoon on Sunday 10/3, we get the privilege to serve several families currently experiencing homelessness here in Athens.  There are many different ways to serve in a variety of formats that will easily fit your schedule and life situation. This will take place at the current static site which is Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have ANY questions or if you need me or Rachele to partner and serve with you for the first time.  Thanks so much!

There will be a house church meeting at the church building on Sunday at 10:30 am. If you need a place to go, you are welcome to join them!

Craig and Heeyoung Rugh are facilitating NAMI Family Support Group first Fridays of each month start from October 1st. NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. You can get gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences. This is a virtual meeting and will switch to in person meeting soon.
