As Sonny shared last Sunday, serving in the Children’s
Ministry is an amazing opportunity to play a vital role in the church,
buil
d relationships with children and their families, and invest in the
church’s future.
There are countless examples in the Bible
of Jesus’
love for
children
(Proverbs 22:6; Matthew
19:14
; Psalm 127:5). Children are
so important to God! Jesus put children fir
st. How important is the
Children’s Ministry to you?
Currently, there is a group of members who consistently
love and serve our kids. Some members have taken a break from
Children’s Ministry, but are needed in our kids’ lives again. There
are others whos
e love for God was cultivated in the Children’s
Ministry, and while you may not realize it, you are now ready to
give back. The Children’s Ministry is looking for mature couples to
teach and train our kids, as well as middle schoolers, teens, and
campus st
udents to love and mentor them.
What does serving in the Children’s Ministry look like? In
the past, it has been a crafts
based program in which teachers
were responsible for all aspects of the lesson. We have begun
implementing Orange, which is structur
ed differently, enabling
teachers to solely focus on building relationships and not
lesson/activity preparation. We have not been able to fully
implement Orange; however, we believe this year we will have
enough support from you to provide the best worship
service for
our kids.
More information about Orange will be provided to you. We
ask you to pray and be open to God moving your heart toward
investing in our children. They are the future of our church!
