Prayers and a Plea for Help

Amy Mock lost her beloved brother Jeff Mock yesterday. Jeff and Amy were very close. Please continue to pray for Amy and the family. Amy would like to grant her brother’s request of a Christian burial but has realized the cost is more than she and her family can provide on their own. She created a GoFundMe yesterday which was sent out to the church but with the fees taken by GoFundMe, Venmo will net her more. Cards of sympathy and love may be sent to Amy at 291 Springdale Drive, Winder, GA 30680.

Carrying One Another’s Burdens Starts on May 15th

The next series will begin May 15 from 9:00-11:00 am. Please respond to this email to sign up or you can contact Terry Morrow directly at 770-337-4455. To God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus.

 

MAY 16TH IS GENEROSITY SUNDAY!!

 
Below is a breakdown of the causes this year’s contribution will go to support and the goal amounts.

* Support for the church in Addis Ababa Ethiopia — $52,500 to continue to support full time evangelist and interns.

* ACOC Teen Ministry — $35,000 towards completion and reopening of our teen building

* HOPE Worldwide — $5000 towards work serving the poor in developing countries

* Members’ Missions — $4000 to support members of our congregation who are involved in foreign missions work (i.e., Michael Hearn’s current work in Eastern Europe)

*  The Swamp — $20,000 towards continued support and operation of camp

TOTAL: $116,500

 

WOMEN’S DAYTIME BIBLE STUDY
ON THURSDAYS AT 11AM
 
The Thursday morning ladies class is now called God’s Girls. You are invited to join us at 11:00am in the church courtyard.  We will be learning together from Jeanie Shaw’s new book, The View from Paul’s Window which explores the culture of Paul’s day as it relates to the role of women.  This week our discussion will be from chapter 2.
