Mollie Mostert is leaving today for a month in Indonesia and six days in Turkey. She will return home on March 15. She asks for our prayers for the trip.

Thank you!  What a great turnout for Saturday’s work day! We got a lot accomplished!

Lost and Found: Please check the lost and found for any items that may belong to you or your family. There are several items on the hooks and on the shelves by the women’s restroom. We will be donating  unclaimed items to charity at the end of February.

 Children’s Ministry Update
We are in need of helpers in the children’s ministry. Please check out the sign up to see where you can help out: Children’s Ministry Signup
If you need to be out of town one week during the month, you can trade with someone who is signed up in your age group for another month.

 Family Promise News
We are excited about FPA’s Annual Silent Auction/Bake Sale on Tuesday, February 28.  Last year was a huge success and we were thrilled with the funds raised through the cake auction!  All proceeds from the bake auction go to Family Promise of Athens.  They are hoping to have a cake or pie from each host congregation to display for the Silent Auction at La Table.  Most congregations have some special bakers in their midst.
 
Are you a baker and if so, do you want to contribute to this benefit?  In an effort to make things as simple as possible for everyone, they currently have cake containers and rounds available for the bakers in the host room at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church if needed.  There will be a sheet for the bakers to put their names on when they have picked up their container.

Cakes/pies should be dropped off at the Athens Country Club on Monday, February 27, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Or if you need to make alternate arrangements for getting the cake or pie to the Country Club, please contact Patti or Kelly (see below contact information).  They are happy to help.  Thanks so much! Steve Gibson
