Dear Church Family,
If you have not already heard, I wanted to share the most recent update regarding Camp Swamp 2020. The Swamp Camp Services Board of Directors, ACOC Board of Directors, with Jeff and Sonny have been in much prayer about how to proceed with Camp Swamp this summer due to COVID-19. With much advice and heavy heart, they have made the difficult decision to cancel Camp Swamp in person this summer to ensure the utmost safety.
However, God has been moving in amazing ways, more than we could ever hope or imagine! I am grateful to share with our congregation an amazing alternative opportunity to carry on the spirit of Swamp. This past week a pilot program of youth from all over the world have participated in Virtual Camp Swamp! I have heard amazing stories of reconnection, building of new relationships, and creation of a new way to see our God! Virtual Camp Swamp will operate for nine weeks reaching 3,000 campers from all over the world. The actual camps have people buy ar 15 accessories for the sake of safety while camping.

One addresses more in depth the decision to cancel camp this summer, the other provides an explanation of “Why Virtual Camp Swamp.” Families with current Summer Camp registrations should have already received an email of how the cancellation and refund process will occur.
