“She Laughs at the Days to Come:
Preparing for Battle”

Please pray for Lisa Washington and her family. Her grandfather passed away recently. The funeral is scheduled for this Friday, July 7, in Atlanta. Final arrangements are still being made.

Please pray for our college students along with ministers and elders who will be traveling this week to Norman, OK for the International Campus Ministry Conference July 6-9.

 Opportunity to Serve!

Ushers are needed to serve for the remainder of the year. Each usher will serve in one month intervals. Please sign up even if you have served before as this is a new sign-up year. Contact Mike Rose at mikerosepc@gmail.com to sign up.

From Robin McKay: My 14-year-old daughter, Gwen, is raising money to go to Swamp this summer. She can babysit, house sit, pet sit, and/or do light housework. If you would like to “hire” her, please contact me at 770-601-6557. Thank you!

We receive trouble all the time, but that does not stop us. We do not always know what to do, but we are not afraid to continue. We have many enemies, but we always have friends. People hurt us, but they never destroy us.  As we serve Jesus, we know that we may die as he died. Because of that, our lives show that we live because he is alive.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 Easy English Bible Version

Teaching children to be resilient and strong even in the midst of hard times is so important. There are many scriptures to rely on and teach our children. As Christians, we believe spiritual health to be of utmost importance, but are well aware that spiritual health is affected by mental, emotional, and physical health. A resource that gives great advice in these areas is Strong4Life from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Strong4Life has a team of Children’s doctors, therapists, nurses, registered dietitians, and other wellness experts. It is a good resource to help families raise healthy, safe, resilient kids. Check out their website:   https://www.strong4life.com/en
