“Christmas on the Air”

December 18th
During Congregational Sunday Service

Rehearsal for singers is after church tomorrow (11/20) until 1:00 pm.  New singers are still welcome to join this week. Please contact Lark Schroeder at ScottandLark@gmail.com or 678-602-6285 if interested or if you have any questions!

The disciples in Pakistan are too poor to buy Christmas gifts for their children. Average income per family is $130. $100 goes for a one room apartment.  Aged parents, husband and wife and their children all live in this room. Communal toilets are outside  and cooking is also outside over a fire.
The remaining $30 is for food,  transportation,  medical, school fees, clothing, etc. Because they are Christian, they get only the lowest paying jobs. It is impossible for them to buy Christmas gifts for their children.
Please help with donations to provide gifts for these 150 children.
Checks can be made out to South Asia Mission Society and are tax deductible.
I will be in the back of the sanctuary on Sunday to collect.
– Mollie Mostert

Kim Williams’ step mom Patty Jones found out that her cancer is back and has spread to her liver. She has been able to get into a clinical trial with a specialist at University of Michigan. Pray for proper treatment and for their hearts.  She has two grown sons with health issues as well…they have a genetic disorder that ruins their kidneys. Cards may be sent to Nelson (Kim’s dad) and Patty Jones at 1777 Mayer Rd., St. Clair, MI, 48079.

Surgeries this upcoming week:

  • Tina Hopkins’ childhood best friend’s husband David Jeter was diagnosed with cancer recently and will have surgery on November 22. Tina is asking for prayers for David’s surgery and for Patrice as she care takes both her parents along with supporting her husband through this cancer journey.
  • Mac Smith will have complete knee replacement surgery on November 22nd. Please pray for no complications and as complete a return to full health as possible.
