God made us to need one another. And we all feel it — we desperately require human connection. The problem is, even in the midst of a world (and a church!) full of people, we can still be lonely and isolated.
God’s plan is that his church will be a place of love, warmth, acceptance and friendship – the very best place of all to find the connection we so deeply need.
In the Athens Church of Christ each member is attached to a small group of fellow believers – a group that provides the intimate friendship and fellowship God intends each of his children to enjoy.
These groups not only provide friendship and fellowship, but places where we can grow spiritually as we practice the “one another” passages in Scripture that make our faith come alive:
- Encourage one another
- Serve one another
- Bear one another’s burdens
- Admonish one another
- Confess your sins to one another
- Honor one another
- Build up one another

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. – John 13:34-35[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
